What is a vinyl wrap?
How much does a vinyl wrap roll cost?
The cost of a vinyl wrap roll depends on two main factors: the type of material and the amount of material required.
1. Type of material
Not all vinyl is created equal. Standard matte or gloss films are less expensive to produce, while specialty finishes such as carbon fiber, brushed textures, or chrome wraps can cost significantly more. For example:
-
Standard finishes: around $500 per roll
-
Specialty or luxury finishes (e.g., chrome): up to $2,500 per roll
The finish or texture often determines price more than color. Specialty wraps, such as VVIVID Tech Art Gloss Carbon Fiber, are made of multiple layers to achieve realistic texture, durability, and flexibility—factors that increase production cost.
2. Amount of material
The size of the project matters. Larger vehicles require more vinyl, and each panel needs extra coverage (usually an additional foot or two per section). It’s also recommended to purchase at least 10% extra material to account for errors or adjustments.
